ピクセルデザイナー／ピクセルアーチスト
大阪府大阪市生まれ。武蔵野美術大学在学中から松本弦人に師事。1995年に伝説的なマルチメディアコレクティブ、Delawareに参加し2001年に脱退。2001年より立花ハジメ主宰のiモード公式サイト「the END」で横尾忠則やOBEY GIANTSらと共に毎週モバイルグラフィックと着信音を発表し始める。同時にウェブサイトten_doをスタート。毎週欠かさずにピクセルグラフィックをオンライン上で公開し3万点以上生み出し続け、現在もなお継続されている。国内外でのデザイン、コラボレーションワークの他、個展やアートブック（「CALM & PUNK Book」シリーズ など）の出版を重ねてきた。近年は東洋の伝統絵画の特徴であるカリグラフィー（書/書道）的表現とアート（画/絵）的表現がシームレスな関係である点に着目し、カリグラフィーとピクセルアートの境界線を探求している。TASCHEN Graphic Design for the 21st Century 100の1人に選出。現在、沖縄県名護市屋我地島に在住。

Pixel Designer / Pixel Artist
Born in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. Studied under Genjiro Matsumoto while attending Musashino Art University. Joined the legendary multimedia collective Delaware in 1995 and left in 2001. Beginning in 2001, started releasing weekly mobile graphics and ringtones alongside artists like Tadanori Yokoo and OBEY GIANTS on the official i-mode site “the END,” run by Hajime Tachibana. Simultaneously launched the website ten_do. He has consistently published pixel graphics online every week, creating over 30,000 pieces to date, a project still ongoing. Alongside design and collaborative work both domestically and internationally, he has held solo exhibitions and published art books (including the “CALM & PUNK Book” series). In recent years, he has focused on the seamless relationship between calligraphic expression (writing/calligraphy) and artistic expression (painting/drawing), characteristic of traditional Eastern painting, exploring the boundary between calligraphy and pixel art. Selected as one of TASCHEN’s Graphic Design for the 21st Century 100. Currently resides on Yagaji Island, Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture.
